What we collect

We aim to collect as little as possible. The TapeSim desktop app is a local tool; your market data, settings, and license key are stored on your own machine (under ~/.tapesim).

Purchase & billing data — handled by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record). We receive your email and license/subscription status from them to issue and validate your license. We do not see or store your card details.
License activation — when you activate, the app sends your license key and a per-machine identifier to our license server to check it against Lemon Squeezy. We do not store this server-side beyond the live check.
Support email — if you contact us, we keep your message and email to reply.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't track your trading or your screen. The app does not phone home beyond the license check and any data downloads you explicitly initiate.

Third parties

We rely on Lemon Squeezy for payments (see their privacy policy) and on any market-data provider whose account you connect inside the app. This website is hosted on GitHub Pages.

Your rights

You can request access to or deletion of the limited personal data we hold (email / support correspondence) by writing to support@tapesim.app.
