Run the Windows installer and TapeSim sets itself up (Start Menu shortcut) and keeps itself up to date automatically — no .NET runtime needed. Prefer no install? Grab the portable zip and run the app directly. On Linux, unzip and run. A macOS build is planned for a later release.
Running the installer on Windows: the beta isn't code-signed yet,
so Windows SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC." Click

Activating your license
TapeSim is free to open in viewer mode — you can browse the chart, Level-2 book, time & sales, and DOM ladder for any market day. Sim trading is unlocked with a license.
- If you haven't bought one yet, get a license. Your key arrives by email.
- Launch TapeSim. On the gate screen, paste your license key and click Activate.
- That's it — open a market day and your sim trading is unlocked.
New to TapeSim? The documentation walks through downloading a market day, the trading screen, and the DOM ladder.
Changed machines? Each license activates on up to 3 machines.
If you've upgraded or replaced a PC and run out of activations, email
support@tapesim.app and we'll extend
it or free up the old machine.
Beta note: TapeSim is in beta on Lemon Squeezy test mode,
so no real money changes hands while we shake out the purchase flow. At
